Our story
good shepherd children’s home
Good Shepherd Children’s Home (GSCH) is a ministry of Baptist Medical and Dental Mission International (BMDMI). GSCH was founded in 1997 by BMDMI missionaries Greg and Eva Vaughn. The Vaughns first visited Honduras on a BMDMI medical mission team in 1995. The Lord opened their eyes to the need for a safe and loving home for the abused, neglected, and vulnerable children in Honduras. The Vaughns responded to God’s call by moving to Honduras and beginning what is now known as Good Shepherd Children’s Home. While Greg and Eva no longer live at GSCH, their legacy lives on as God continues to work in the lives of every child who resides at GSCH.
Good Shepherd Children’s Home is located on 70 acres of beautiful Honduran mountainside. Over the years GSCH has been home to hundreds of children in need. Through the efforts of our faithful donors and our amazing Honduran staff, GSCH continues to provide quality shelter, food, education, counseling, and love to all of the children in our care.
